Our Processes
It’s very common to find the heating system at fault and not the boiler. Most of the time there’s a faulty zone valve or central heating pump. These are parts that we carry on the van, in turn getting your heating system back up and running almost straight away for you. On occasions we may recommend that you replace your boiler if we feel that it isn’t financially wise to repair it due to age and potential for further breakdowns.

Should I Repair or Replace My Boiler?
It is not always an easy decision. In some cases a repair is the sensible option and will keep your boiler running reliably for years to come. In others, the cost of fixing an ageing or repeatedly failing boiler simply does not add up when a replacement would be more efficient, more reliable, and cheaper to run long-term.
As a rough guide, repair tends to make sense when your boiler is under 10 years old, the fault is straightforward, and the cost is reasonable relative to the boiler’s remaining lifespan.
Replacement starts to make more sense when your boiler is 12 years or older, has broken down more than once in a short period, or when the repair quote is high enough that a new boiler would pay for itself within a few years through lower energy bills and fewer callouts.
That said, every situation is different. Our engineers will always give you an honest assessment with no pressure either way – and if we think your boiler is worth fixing, we will tell you so.
